Research for the Effectiveness of the Greek Judicial System
July 18th, 2017
John C. Kyriakides, Litigation & Arbitration partner of the firm and Chairman of the Legislative Reform Committee of the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, spoke at an event for the effectiveness of the Greek judicial system.
The event was co-hosted by the National Center for State Courts (NCSC), a US, mission-driven, non-profit organization providing technical assistance, training, consulting services, and technology to advance justice around the world and the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce. During the event, the representatives of NCSC presented a preliminary report and recommendations on improvements to the Greek court system. There followed a lively session in which 3 prominent judges and 3 well known Athens based lawyers debated the reasons behind the serious delays in the rendering of justice in Greece. The discussion was moderated by a well-known journalist whilst the event was attended by a large number of people.
